Musée des Arts Décoratifs
Located inside a part of The Louvre Museum is the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (decorative arts).
Featuring collections of decorative arts, design, fashion, textile, advertising, and graphics, it covers the period from the Middle Ages to present day.
Various stages recreate interesting periods and we recommend the replication of the bedroom and bathroom of Jeanne Lanvin by Armand-Albert Rateau as a “don’t miss” exhibit.
The museum pays tribute to many illustrious names that comprise the history of French taste including Sèvres, Aubusson, Christofle, Lalique, Guimard, Mallet Stevens, Le Corbusier, Perriand, and Starck to do just a little name-dropping!
For those who collect art books, there is a wonderful Arteum bookstore inside with a very complete collection of books, gifts, and souvenir pieces.
A 15-minute walk from the hotel, our Guest Relations team can arrange a Private Fauchon visit.
